What we do? At Dogskool - The BEST Dog School for your Dog

I don't believe that dogs lie awake at night, plotting how to get even with their owners or spend hours working out how to overthrow the human kingdom!

Dogs simply don't know "they have done wrong" – they do what they have been trained to do or not, as the case may be!

It's up to us as owners, to do the best for our dogs and to show them what is required. And that is what I hope to do for you.

Behaviour Consultations
An initial telephone discussion and then I come out to your home to work with you to address specific behavioural issues.

Behaviour consultations recommended for issues such as:

  • Aggression (other dogs and people)
  • hyperactivity
  • barking
  • jumping up
  • nipping
  • toilet training problems
  • anxiety when left alone
  • fears and phobias (fireworks, traffic, crowds, for example)
  • pulling on the lead

Through detailed discussion and observation, I hope to discover the causes of those issues and put in place a Programme of Change to set about resolving those problems. This initial visit would be followed up by a written report to confirm my findings and ongoing telephone support, should you need it. We would recommend whether any further visits were advisable.

"The Puppy Plan"
A series of 2-3 visits to give you the best possible start with a new puppy. Perhaps a session before the pup arrives to ensure you make suitable preparations, and then advice on diet and how it relates to behaviour, toilet training, playbiting/nipping, what to buy and where to buy it, puppy-proofing your home and how to start your training from Day One, with practical work and demos! We will also include a Puppy Training Manual to guide you.

Home dog training
Bespoke courses in the comfort of your own home. 1 – 6 sessions to cover basic dog obedience and behavioural advice.
